In April 1994, Tom Arnold and Roseanne Barr divorced in Los Angeles. Currently, Arnold is still doing a lot of voiceovers and shows while staying single. Barr also has a lot of projects in the meantime. She is single and is enjoying the company of her son, Buck Thomas from her second marriage.

Arnold and Barr first met in 1983 when the actor opened for Barr and wrote for her show in Minnesota. In marriage divorce records, they got married on January 20, 1990. Arnold converted to Judaism as they renewed their wedding vows in 1991.

After four years, Tom Arnold and Roseanne Barr filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences. They first filed on April 18, 1994 but changed their decision after three days. A month later, they again filed for divorce on the same grounds.

In public divorce records, there were several rumors regarding the couple's time together as husband and wife. Reportedly, Arnold was insecure of his secondary role in Barr's ever-rising career and fame. He constantly was working behind the scenes making Roseanne the hit that it is so, in return, he overworked his wife, as well. There were also reports that Arnold was a cocaine addict and allegedly had an affair with his secretary which prompted Barr to divorce him immediately.

Arnold denied the allegations and said that the relationship was just very difficult to maintain especially when they are alone in the house. Things would get “crazy” and arguments would spontaneously erupt. Arnold said his only sanctuary was to be on the set working away from his wife. In public divorce records, Barr also had her own demons to deal with as she was a victim of parental abuse. There were rumors that mild abuse was occasionally happening during marriage which may have traumatized the sitcom star.
