In 1975, Sally Field and Steven Craig divorced in Los Angeles. At present, Field is still into acting and recently finished a couple of films. She is single in the meantime and is simply enjoying the company of her three sons. Craig has disappeared from the scenes since the divorce and there are no reports whether or not he is single now.

She made an impact by playing the role of Sister Bertrille in The Flying Nun. Another hit TV series which she had a role in was Gidget. She has also appeared in movies which helped her rise to fame such as Smokey and the Bandit II, Mrs. Doubtfire and Forrest Gump. Steven Craig first met Field when she was on the cast of Gidget. They started dating then got married on September 16, 1968 according to marriage divorce records.

Eight years after their wedding, Sally Field filed for divorce from Steven Craig citing irreconcilable differences as the main grounds. The couple initially had a good start when Field was becoming a house brand through her roles in The Flying Nun after Gidget. They had two sons together, Peter and Eli. However, things started to change when The Flying Nun ended and Field's career somewhat came to a stagnant point. Field was constantly seeking for more job opportunities to launch her career. Craig on the other hand, was having difficulty running the house whenever his wife was off or traveling.

In public divorce records, Field stated that communication was very hard to come by and that their ideas of a relationship started to conflict after five years of marriage. Craig was not fully supporting Field later on and wanted to stay away from the Hollywood limelight. Field still wanted to pursue and bring her acting career to new levels. Even their children were beginning to show interest in film which bothered Craig a lot. The couple reportedly separated two years prior to their official announcement. An amicable settlement was reached and both parties went on their separate ways. Field asked for custody over their two boys which was granted by the court.

Reportedly, Sally Field and Steven Craig remained friends after the divorce. They talk once in a while and spent time together especially during holidays and special occasions which concern their kids. Craig then lived quietly thereafter. Field continued in her acting projects and recently tried directing films as well.

In 1984, she married Alan Greisman whom she had a son with, Sam. However, they divorced in 1993. Today, she is focusing on a number of TV shows and a voice role in the upcoming Disney's The Little Mermaid III which is set to be released in 2008.
