In October 2006, Matt
LeBlanc and Melissa Sue McKnight divorced in California after reaching
a settlement of an undisclosed amount. Today, LeBlanc is busy with
movies and TV guestings. He launched his own sitcom “Joey,”
which was based on the character of the same name he played on the hit
comedy “Friends.” He is currently seeing “Joey”
costar Andrea Anders. LeBlanc and Mcknight continue to remain friends.
Matt LeBlanc and Melissa McKnight are
officially single, as their final divorce records papers would
indicate. LeBlanc is best known for his role as charmer Joey Tribbianni
in the 1990s hit television comedy “Friends.” McKnight was
a former model. The two were introduced back in 1997 by actor Lou
Diamond Phillips and then-wife Kelly.

Court divorce records show that the 40-year-old Matt LeBlanc wedl
42-year-old former model Melissa McKnight on May 3, 2003, after a
five-year engagement. Hawaii is listed as the location of the wedding.
The ceremony was attended by some 75 guests, including LeBlanc’s
former “Friends” costars Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and
Jennifer Aniston. This was the second marriage for McKnight and the
first for LeBlanc.
The public divorce records state that the couple has a daughter, Marina
Pearl LeBlanc, who was born on February 8, 2004. Their child was
diagnosed with a rare brain disorder that affects motor abilities,
causing her to have seizures.
A divorce records search for LeBlanc and McKnight reveal that the two
separated on January 1, 2006. This was the same time LeBlanc announced
that he was moving out of their Encino, California home, which he
shared with McKnight, their daughter and McKnight’s two kids from
a previous marriage. In March of the same year, as public divorce
records for the couple show, Matt LeBlanc filed for divorce. The former
“Friends” actor cited “irreconcilable
differences” in the petition. Divorce records state that
LeBlanc’s and McKnight’s divorce became final in October
2006.
Part of the decision handed down by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge
in the couple’s divorce records say that LeBlanc and McKnight
will share joint legal custody of their two-year-old daughter. LeBlanc
also agreed to cover 100 percent of Marina’s uninsured medical
expenses and nanny services costs. The divorce records also state that
LeBlanc will take care of their daughter’s school tuition.
The marriage divorce records settlement says that LeBlanc will provide
$15,000 as child support for their daughter till she turns 18. The
order was based on the fact that LeBlanc was determined to be the
higher wage-earner between him and his ex-wife. According to available
divorce records, both LeBlanc and McKnight waived claims or their right
to spousal support in favor of a cash settlement. McKnight waived hers
owing to a cash amount the former model received as specified in the
prenuptial agreement she entered into with LeBlanc.
