Jessica Simpson filed for divorce from husband Nick Lachey in the Los
Angeles Supreme Court. The divorce was finalized in June 30, 2006 on
which the financial settlement remains undisclosed in the divorce
records. Today, Jessica Simpson has a movie project titled Blonde
Ambition. Nick Lachey, on the other hand, has been busy with his album
doing tours and concerts. He is also known to be in a relationship with
Vanessa Minnillo.

when Jessica toured with the boy band 98 Degrees, of which Nick was a
member. Nick told the press that he got chills when he heard Jessica
sing for the first time and said, “I am going to marry that girl
one day.” The two singers became a couple then.
In 2001, Nick and Jessica decided to take a break from each other. The
reason as Jessica would say is that “so she could do some growing
up.” During their breakup, Jessica was able to launch her album
entitled Irresistible that had songs of lost love like “When You
Told Me That You Love Me.” After the September 11 incident, the
couple got back and in October 2006 they decided to get married.
In the beginning of their marriage, they catapulted both of their
careers by signing up with MTV’s show “Newlyweds.”
The Newlyweds was a reality TV show that featured the couples’
experiences as newlyweds. The show became an instant hit because of its
funny and laughable moments. Also during this time, Jessica was able to
release a book entitled “I Do: Achieving Your Dream
Wedding” that tells of their wedding story and some tips on how
to plan your own dream wedding.
By 2004, the marriage was doing great. There were some rocky moments
but Jessica and Nick remained steady. When Jessica released her album
entitled “In This Skin,” she sang songs with titles
“With You” and “My Way Home” which somehow
reflect her relationship with Nick Lachey.
But the happy moments did not last. By December of 2005, Jessica
Simpson filed for a divorce from husband Nick Lachey with whom she had
been married for almost 4 years.

going around that there will be a reconciliation but when the soon to

decision…” everyone knew it was over.
In June 30 of the year 2006, the divorce was finalized and Jessica
Simpson Lachey was back to Jessica Simpson. Divorce records show that
there still is no property settlement filed and the financial
settlement remains undisclosed.
