Data about Jennifer Lopez and Ojani Noa from Divorce Records
Not reaching a year after their wedding, Jennifer Lopez filed for
divorce due to irreconcilable differences. The main problem was that
their relationship was going at a stalemate, since Lopez was going
through the height of her career, which left Noa with nothing much to
do in the shadows.
Public divorce records show that communication was absent as Lopez
frequented travels and kept a very busy schedule of doing movies,
shooting commercials, modeling, singing, dancing and rehearsing. She
was also starting to get into business which was also one of the
often-argued topics of the couple. Noa seemed to be intimidated by the
quick fame that his wife was experiencing.
In a controversial plan by Noa to write a book regarding his marriage
and relationship with Lopez, there were ideas that seeped out stating
that Lopez was manipulating him throughout the course of the marriage.
He felt like his wife's employee since she was earning the big bucks,
while he kept his talent in managing restaurants.
In divorce records search, he also said that Lopez was having sexual
relationships with other men while they were still married which of
course caused his wife to retaliate later on in a nasty and publicized
courtroom battle. After the divorce, the couple stated that they are
still friends but Noa seems to be certain that they still hold special
feelings for each other.

Aftermath
After the divorce, Lopez hired Noa to be the manager of
her Pasadena restaurant called Madre's then later on fired him in 2002.
There was an exchange of legal battles between the couple in divorce
records since Noa was complaining about the unreasonable treatment
while he was working as well as the unexpected unemployment which left
him with no money and opportunity. Lopez also sued Noa for his attempt
to release a tell-all book which includes derogatory remarks about her.
