In March 2, 2005, Denise
Richards filed for a divorce from her husband Charlie Sheen at the Los
Angeles Supreme Court. The divorce was finalized on November 17, 2006;
but in the divorce records no figures were disclosed for the financial
settlement. Today, Denise Richards is busy doing some movie projects
while Charlie Sheen is still doing the sitcom “Two and a Half
Men.” Also, Sheen has just asked the courts recently to alter the
nature of his visiting rights to his children.
Denise Richards is an actress and model that
starred in movies like “Wild Things” and was even one of
the Bond girls. Charlie Sheen on the other hand is also an actor, a
writer and a producer. He has been in the entertainment business for
quite a long time and was already doing movies and sitcoms.
Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen first met when they got together in
the movie “A Good Advice” in the year 2000. But they did
not hook up yet until that time when Denise guest starred in
Sheen’s sitcom “Spin City”. The couple got engaged in
January of 2002 and had planned to get married on June 15, 2002.
Richard and Sheen had an evening wedding ceremony in Brentwood,
California. It was a Catholic ceremony and under 1000 rose blooms on an
arch, the couple made their wedding vows.
This was Sheen’s second wedding, though. He was married to Donna
Peele before and had a divorce in November 19, 1996. He also has a
child from his high school sweetheart Paula Profit. For Denise
Richards, it was her first wedding.
During their marriage Richards and Sheen co-starred in a comedy film
“Scary Movie 3” where they played the roles of a married
couple as a spoof to the movie “Signs.”
In March 9, 2004, Denise Richards gave birth to her first baby, Sam.
But much to the dismay of the public, the couple had a lot of trouble
with their marriage. News would pop up every now and then that the
couple are splitting up and then are getting back together again. This
became so regular that when people heard about it, they would just give
the “So what’s new?” look.
But on March 2 of 2005, less than three years of being married, Denise
Richards finally filed for a divorce from Charlie Sheen, along with a
restraining order for reason of assaulting her.

pregnant with their second baby. Speculations came out that it would be
the same thing all over again and that they would eventually get back
together. But the divorce pushed through. On the initial marriage

and physical custody of Sam and their unborn child. As the divorce
records were processed, Sheen requested to have visiting rights. On the
final divorce records, given on November 17, 2006, Sheen was given
visitation rights, but with supervision. Divorce records on the
financial settlement were kept confidential.
