of an undisclosed amount. Today, Minnelli is busy with her latest
project, the release of a collection of songs her godmother Kay
Thompson originated. As her way of introducing them to her audience,
she added the songs to her latest tour. Gest was signed for a year by
ITV to appear in a reality series of his own entitled, “This Is
David Gest.” In April 2007, Gest's autobiography “Simply
The Gest” was released.

an end to her union with husband, Gest, just 16 months into the
marriage. Gest and Minnelli tied the knot on March 6, 2002, in a
ceremony that included Michael Jackson as best man and Elizabeth Taylor
as maid of honor. It was marriage no. 4 for Minnelli who was previously
married to Peter Allen (1967-1972), Jack Haley (1974-1979) and Mark
Gero (1979-1992). Divorce records reveal that the marriage was the
first for the producer-promoter.
The two were introduced by Jackson when Gest produced Jackson's 30th
anniversary tribute concert for TV. Marriage divorce records for Gest
and Minnelli say that Minnelli filed for divorce from Gest on October
22, 2003, one day after Gest slapped the entertainer with a $10 million
lawsuit accusing her of beating the TV producer during instances of
alcoholic rage.

two finally decided to settle their differences, the legal ones, in New
York State Supreme Court. Recent events indicate that the couple has
agreed to make nice, enabling their divorce records petition to once

that the two had resolved matters and decided to formally divorce
without fault.
