Divorce Records
Just less than a year after their wedding, Alyssa Milano filed for
divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court in December 1999 citing
irreconcilable differences. She stated that the relationship was
initially good and she was constantly giving time, effort and emotion
into the marriage as Tate kept going on tours and doing shows.
In public divorce records, Milano said that their relationship just did
not have enough time to grow and mature. Since they dated for a short
while and immediately tied the knot, they did not really turn into
friends who would communicate with each other well leading into the
deterioration of the marriage.
Tate’s side remained quiet throughout the duration of the
divorce
process. In divorce records search, Milano stated that it was a tough
decision for both of them to allow the marriage to last only for 11
months. She said they didn’t really have big fights or
arguments
but time and conversation were just impossible to get by with their
schedules. The actress said that her husband takes too much work to
manage although she tried taking on the role of a real wife.
Admittedly, she enjoyed her part but not for long.
Divorce Records Aftermath
Milano and Tate remained friends and still communicate once in a while
after their separation. In public divorce records, both of them were
seen dating a number of Hollywood celebrities but really
didn’t
get anywhere serious. They did however, invest much in their careers
and family after the breakup.
Tate separated from Remy Zero but still writes songs and performs while
Milano got into more film and TV roles as well as became Ambassador for
the United Nations. Their marriage and divorce would be the first for
both of them. The actress did openly express her sentiments after the
divorce was finalized by saying that she was sad how her marital dreams
ended up as another Hollywood cliché moment.
