Mob Action - Strength In Unity?Mob action is having two or more persons acting together to disturb the public peace. Mob action can also be defined as gathering of two or more persons to do an unlawful act. Last but not the least mob action is the assembly of two or more persons, without the authority of the law, to act against a person who is supposed to be guilty of violating a law. Putting the law into their hands and punishing the guilty. Why Is Mob Action a Crime?People gathering together is normal. It could be for a meeting or just to hangout. But when people gather with the intent to do something illegal then it becomes a crime. Mob action can result to property damage, injury or even death. The Mob In ActionA classical example of a Mob Action is the group of pitchfork and rake wielding people who tries to drive away Dracula from their town. Today, a good example of a mob are the gangs. Gangs are composed of people called gangsters. They have established their own territory and they have their own principles in the gang. Gangs are supposedly good for as long as they don’t do anything illegal. But unfortunately, it seems as if it is part of the job description of gangsters to brawl and this is how a good mob, the gang, goes into mob action. Brawls and riots are examples of mob action. Another example of mob action is when you gather your neighbors to confront another neighbor who allegedly is a pedophile. When you were talking to him the conversations got heated up and the mob of friendly neighbors got into frenzy and beat up the man. That is another example of mob action. Mob action doesn’t only happen because of gang fights and neighborhood quarrels. Much of the mob action in history usually happens because of political gatherings. People gather because they want something from the government. At first everything starts peacefully but sometimes gatherings such as this turn into a mob action. Penalizing People Guilty of Mob ActionMob action is a Class 4 Felony. As such, penalties could be a fine of up to one hundred thousand dollars, imprisonment for two to ten years, or both. The penalties also depend on which state it happened and their state law regarding mob action. Penalties will also be based on the gravity of the damage caused by the mob action. === We all want to think we are safe but are we?
